Here is a close up photo of our Den Doodle. This year we added the badges of Rank and gave each boy a new Turkey feather to place his beads and projects on. Even as Bear Cub Scouts, the boys enjoy this part of our Den Meeting and there is always disappointment if we are not able to add to our Doodle because we run late. The arrowhead represents the completion of our Whittling Chip.
The doodle is added to per meeting and the scout receives a blue bead for attending and a yellow bead for participating in each meeting. We also award the Scout a gold bead when he completes an achievement or elective in his book and a silver bead for Academics and Sports. Additionally we give special beads for going the extra mile, participating in Pack meetings, assisting with service projects and so on.
